We are delighted by another very strong set of A level results this summer. The students have performed fantastically well and should be extremely proud of their achievements. They have worked very hard and shown tremendous perseverance and determination to succeed throughout their time as Teign students within Templer Sixth form. The progress of students has improved from the previous year and more than two thirds of the grades for A level and vocational courses were grade C or higher and one third were grades A*-B. With the changes and increase in the challenge of the A levels over the last two years and the move to terminal examinations at the end of the two years of study, we are pleased that with the support of the hardworking staff, students have excelled. The vast majority of students have achieved grades for them to be accepted at their first choice of university, including many at Russell Group Universities, with students of all ability set to pursue their future dreams and careers. We would like to congratulate all of the students for their achievements and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
Head of Sixth Form, Ros McClymont, said, “’On behalf of the staff at Teign school we would like to pass on our congratulations to our wonderful students who have, yet again, achieved a fantastic set of A level results. We are exceptionally proud of their achievements. These results are well deserved and down to our students’ hard work, commitment and endeavour over the last two years. We are delighted that so many have achieved grades in line with, or above expectations. As in previous years we are thrilled our students are accessing some of the best universities and courses across the country and we wish all of them the best of luck for their exciting and aspirational next steps.
