Over 40 Teign School students were given the opportunity to launch the three day musical spectacular on the Parasol/Devon Music Hub Stage at Devon County Show.

The students from Teign School’s Musical Theatre Group performed numbers from their repertoire and the audience responded with cheers and whistles as they sang and danced their hearts out. Teacher Mrs Churchill, Head of Performing Arts at Teign School, said “The hours of rehearsals during lunchtime and after school were worth it. To see the students thrive and develop their skills to this standard is phenomenal”.

The Musical Theatre Group were followed by The Dirtbags, a Year 9 Rock band from Teign School who entertained the crowd with an awesome set of classic rock tracks.

If you would like to see Teign School’s Musical Theatre Group and the Dirtbags perform their full repertoire, please come to Teign School’s Templer Theatre at 7pm on the 2nd July. This is a charity event in which the Performing Arts Department will be raising money for causes chosen by the cast.
