To assist with home learning between now and the end of term, students from all year groups are now able to order reading/non-fiction books for collection from reception the following day. Library books/resources may also be returned to the box in reception with immediate effect.
To borrow a book:
1. Browse Teign School’s Library books using this link to the School’s website http://www.teignschool.org.uk/2020/06/04/oliver/ . Students have been trained on the ‘Oliver’ software and should know how to look for books by title, author, genre or key word. Click on the book images to gain more information about the book & its AR level. A green tick means the book is available (red cross means it is already on loan).
[If the book is an eResource, it is available from our eLibrary called ePlatform found at this address https://teignschool.eplatform.co/.]
2. Students can request up to 2 print books students have identified by simply Emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or message Mrs Halse in epraise messenger with the resources they want to borrow (include title and author).
3. The requested book/s will be picked with gloves using rigorous safety guidelines and left at reception for collection from the following day between 9am and 2.45pm. Books will be held behind the counter at reception (labelled with the student name) for 1 week from order.
4. When collecting loans, please return any outstanding library items from home to the box in reception. (All book returns are quarantined for 72 hours before being put on the library shelves for safety).
