This month we had the privilege of welcoming a guest speaker to Teign School to talk to some of our Year 11 Scientists and our Year 9 Triple Science group. Dr Adam Reuben is a consultant at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. His working life has given him many opportunities and being one of the pitch side doctors for Exeter Chiefs was a particular highlight. Students listened intently to his talk and many stayed behind to ask questions and ask advice about a career in medicine.

‘Dr Adam Reuben’s speech he gave inspired me greatly to pursue medicine as a career. He spoke with so much passion about being a doctor and influenced my decisions for the future. He discussed the many opportunities he has been given all of which sounded incredible.’ Maisie Yr 11

‘Dr Adam Reuban provided insight to the many opportunities of the medical profession. It was incredibly captivating and inspirational and very encouraging for the young people who wanted to go into medical science and demonstrated the more challenging parts of the profession that we would have to overcome. He also explained the expanse of opportunities of where you can travel and what you can achieve in medical science.’ Will and Charlie Yr 9.

We look forward to welcoming more guest speakers during the year
