There has never been a better time to join Devon Libraries to beat the boredom, relieve stress and escape into other worlds! Even though the physical libraries are closed, did you know that having a Devon library card allows you to access eBooks and eAudiobooks, anywhere, anytime from Devon Libraries OverdriveRBdigital and BorrowBox. You can read/listen to these via numerous devices (see https://www.devonlibraries.org.uk/web/arena/ebooks for details). All you need is a library card and PIN. Choose from an expanding range of fiction, non-fiction, teenage and children’s eBooks and eAudiobooks and they are all free! These libraries are always open so you can borrow eBooks and eAudio even whilst their libraries are closed. You won’t get late fines as online titles are automatically returned.

Mrs Halse (Teign’s School Librarian) has been in touch with Devon Libraries to find out what our students need to do to sign up. Here is the advice received:

“If the student goes through the online registration process via the website (https://www.devonlibraries.org.uk/web/arena/join-thelibrary) they can then contact Exeter Library (*01392 407027 or exeter.library@librariesunlimited.org.uk or WhatsApp 07976 584727) and we can convert it into a full account for them and give them the library card number that will work with the online resources.  They will choose their own PIN in the process of online registration.”

*01392 407027 staffed Monday 9-6, Tuesday 9-7, Wednesday 10-6, Thursday 9-7, Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 12-4

If you already have a library card/PIN number then you can borrow ebooks immediately.

Happy reading 😊

Mrs Halse
