Safeguarding at Teign School

Safeguarding children is fundamental to the culture that we at Teign School pursue in all that we do. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and that includes those who visit the school occasionally or on a regular basis.

If you are concerned for the safety of a child who attends Teign School, it is your responsibility to ensure that you raise that concern with a member of the safeguarding team. This can be done, by calling the school (01626 366969) and asking to speak to one of them or by coming into school and raising the concern with them directly.

Contact information for the safeguarding team is below:

If you have concerns that a child is at immediate risk of harm, please dial 999 immediately.

If you wish to discuss the safety of a Teign School child (or any other) during the school holidays and they are not at immediate risk of harm, you should call the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 155 1071 or (outside office hours) 0345 6000 388.

Supporting Families

If you are worried about your child and wish to seek further information or support, please contact the school and ask to speak to a member of the Safeguarding Team or Simon Hobson (Family Support Worker).
