Although we are our own admissions authority and are responsible for setting our admissions policy and making decisions when an application is made to join us, we use the services of Devon County Council’s Admissions Service to manage applications on our behalf. For further information or advice about the admissions process, parents can call My Devon on 0345 155 1019 or visit www.devon.gov.uk/admissions
Parents can apply for a Year 7 place here using their Local Authority Common Application Form (for children who live in the Devon County Council area, this is available at www.devon.gov.uk/admissionsonline or by requesting a copy of the D-CAF3 from My Devon. Applications should be made up to the national closing date of 31 October 2017 – late applications may be at a disadvantage. Decisions are sent to parents around 1 March 2018.
For admissions at any time after the start of the Year 7, you can apply using the D-CAF, wherever your child lives. Copies are available from My Devon.

The Appeals Process
Any parent who is refused admission has the right to an appeal that is independent of the school. We use the Independent Devon Admissions Appeal Panel to handle any appeals being made. For further information, please call My Devon or visit www.devon.gov.uk/admissions
The Appeals Timetable
We are required to set out the appeals timetable for this round of admissions. This is set out in our admissions policy for 2018-19 and here:
– Appeals at the normal round of admissions to Year 7 will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals on 27 March 2017. Where the application was not made in time for a decision to be made on 1 March 2017, they will be heard within that 40 day period or, if that is not possible, within 30 days of the appeal being lodged.
Appeals for sixth form admission will be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of exam results where the offer of a place was conditional on those exam results. Otherwise, they will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. For in-year admissions in any academic year, appeals must be heard within 30 school days of deadline for lodging appeals.
