Guidance for families in cases of bad weather or other incidents leading to school closure

It is our policy to keep the school open wherever possible. Please assume the school is open unless you hear otherwise.

The Department for Education recognises the delivery of education to pupils as an essential service, as do we.

If we do have to close, parents/carers will be informed in the following ways:

There may also be an announcement on local radio stations including BBC Radio Devon bbc.co.uk/radiodevon , Heart Radio www.heart.co.uk , Devon Air www.devonairfm.com and The Breeze swnews@thebreeze.com

This situation is highly unlikely and will be avoided wherever possible. There is no need to contact the school to check whether or not the school is open. Unless announced as above, we are open.
